Silverstone, England: Lewis Hamilton thrilled the home crowd with a stunning victory at the British Grand Prix on Sunday, securing a record-extending ninth win at Silverstone.

On a rain-soaked track, Hamilton showcased his exceptional skill, taking and regaining the lead multiple times before ultimately overtaking rival Max Verstappen.

This victory marks Hamilton’s first since the 2021 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, reinforcing his status as the most successful driver in Formula 1 history.

The win was particularly poignant as it was Hamilton’s last British Grand Prix with Mercedes, the team with which he has enjoyed immense success.

An emotional Hamilton remarked after crossing the finish line, “It feels like a fairytale.”

Race Highlights:  The race began with George Russell on pole, followed by Hamilton in second and Lando Norris in third.

Russell initially maintained his lead, but Hamilton steadily closed the gap and began overtaking.

The race took a dramatic turn when both Russell and Hamilton veered into the run-off area, momentarily allowing Norris to take the lead.
